Description
This is a test unit I ran on my car for a few weeks (it's also the last unit I have except for the one on my car). While this iteration is water resilient, it's not water proof, meaning if you spray water directly at it, a small amount will slip between the inlet and lens.
I never planned to sell this unit, but I've been getting a number of enquiries about making more, so I've put this one up for sale at a discount.

The Ramair Deadlight significantly and quickly reduces your S197's intake-air temps (IAT's) while moving and provides a modest power increase at higher speeds as positive pressure builds around the intake. It also turns a lot of heads.
And while this is an excellent upgrade for boosted setups where airflow and heat management are critical for maximum output, I don't recommend this upgrade if you don't at least have a cold-air intake.
The inlet tube has a 5-inch opening and a 3.5-inch exit and is made out of ASA plastic which is very resilient to water, sunlight, and debris. I've battle-tested mine for over six months through rain, snow, and road trips and the inlet tube still looks brand new.
Each unit starts with a brand new stock headlight housing that is carefully gutted (by me) to make room for the 3D-printed inlet tube. Then the shield (clear cover of the headlight) is wrapped in a dark gloss vinyl. Finally the inlet is inserted and sealed to the housing with silicone.
And just in case it's not obvious, this ramair "headlight" does not illuminate.
